So it's a little bit of everything, Dungeons, Maps, Crafting, Gil, Company Seals, and soldiery. On top of that you need items from company seals (80,000 seals total), Items bought with Gil (400k total), items gotten from maps (Beladian Silver from map), items from Soldiery (6400 for Sacred spring waters) and items gotten via desynthing (Desynth rate doesn't seem too bad thus far) If you have any questions since I probably forgot stuff since this was hastily written at work, just yell!Įssentially it looks like you need items from dungeon that aren't 100% drop rate (you'll get the item on dungeon exit, not on boss kill) (We do use our puny cross class Scholarly Stoneskin with two healers, I totally forgot to mention) Even a 3rd Scholar gives you more Lustrates and more Eos buffs. WHM's are beast at AoE healing, and they can spam Stoneskin on the tank for another percent based mitigation, and Bene gives you another emergency button. With only two you can end up RNG wiping from time to time in the second half if your "active" Scholar gets Chaotic + tether or something and the tank doesn't have a cooldown. (We may do that backwards from everyone I think generally the healers break out charmed people? Our healers were always better at spark cleanup since we knew when the tanks needed them and that left the dps to deal with charm.)Īlso just saw what Takel said: For a one tank strat it really is super helpful to have a 3rd healer for backup, especially when you're just learning that method. Without that mechanic, all that dps really have to worry about is dealing with Chaotic Strikes appropriately, and that you just have a ranged bait one so only one is random. (we just pick up whatever spawns near us, tank will yell if he needs one) Second phase you wont accidentally "run out" for tethered people since you can grab them from every spawn instead of alternating with tanks. Oh two got picked up now we probably wipe." Tank picks up three from the first spawn then at least one every other spawn to keep the Overcharge rolling, the rest are free for dps/healers to clean up. There's no like "OK three for a tank on this one then someone grab the last one. (It happens from time to time, tank takes spike damage and we have to bomb heal them, and/or Scholars get tethered) The tank's job doesn't really matter either, Storm's Path + bigger Lustrates vs Shield Oath really works out about the same.Īnyway, what that actually accomplishes is that juggling sparks becomes trivial. The tank doesn't have to be that great either they just save big cooldowns for times when neither Scholar can Lustrate for a bit. Seriously we can just bash our faces into Succor when we have no Aetherflows, and I alternate between Roused Whispering Dawn, Fey Covenant, WD, Fey Illumination, WD, etc and our other Scholar runs Selene for damage buffs. (I like five dps since it goes faster) The two Scholars just keep each other focused and communicate (I'm down for 20sec) their Aetherflows, the AoE healing ends up pretty easy since you'll almost never have extra sparks out and you can rotate through Eos's skills. You can even bring a 3rd healer with a lesser geared tank since you'll still have four dps, or even just for learning the strategy. With two Scholars you have six Lustrates every minute, which is plenty to keep a (decently geared) tank alive. So they have to swap out every other spark spawn, and extra sparks up means that the AoE damage goes through the roof, which means everyone has to actually pay attention and know which go to tanks, which are "free," and after phase transition, which ones go for the tethered people.Įxcept Lustrate heals are percent based, so the tank can get the 90% healing received debuff and it doesn't matter. So normally the tanks have to get a three stack from the sparks so they have the buff that prevents them from exploding to Shock Strike, but don't take more than that because additional stacks overcharge you and give a -30/-60/-90% healing received debuff. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter, more info? We do the 1 tank 2 Scholar strat so it's not like anyone other than me + the other Scholar have to pay attention really
